Jumbo Importers has been importing South African food into the UK since 2003 . Operating from their premises in Slough they have a huge range of products. Principally a wholesaler they are open to the public as a walk in Cash and Carry and offer an online retail shop.
They carry almost everything. From fresh British meat and imported groceries to sportswear, memorabilia, calenders, magazines, braais and potjies. As well as an extensive range of South African beers, wine, liquors and soft drinks.
There are a few other suppliers in the market but they are predominently retail and online.

I don’t undersytand why the imported South SAfrican products are so eye wateringly expensive in the UK? Are duties and freight charges that high?
